We’ve got just 6 letters left in the AtoZ Blogging Challenge! I
honestly didn’t think I’d get this far! We’ve been talking about various
aspects of effectiveness and the many ways of achieving it, as described in
Stephen Covey’s book, ‘The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People’.
So it’s natural that when you follow these methods, you’ll find some
sort of improvement in the different departments of your life. But you can’t
let your life move one step up and then stay put there, can you? You need to
continuously review and renew your steps so that your life’s progression
follows an ‘upward spiral’.

It is important to remember that a proper upward spiral is only
possible if equal growth happens in all four dimensions of your life –
physical, spiritual, mental and social/emotional. For every improvement you
seek to make or every habit you want to change, you need to follow the pattern
of Learn->Commit->Do. You need to know what exactly you’re going to do;
i.e. have a plan. Then you make a commitment to it, which is where your
discipline and motivation comes in the picture. And then follows action!
Following this sequence continuously will take you on an upward spiral of growth
and fill you with the peace and contentment you’ve been yearning for!
Do
you think your life is moving in an upward spiral? Or is a shortage in any
dimension holding you back?

DeleteI think by and large life moves in an upward spiral. Sometimes it moves up quickly, sometimes slowly and sometimes we have to slip a little to gain more momentum.
ReplyDeleteTrue that!! The speed doesn't matter, as long as the direction is upward!
