Outfit Post - Spirals!

11:34:00 am

First outfit post of the month!!! And second one of the year J. This is an outfit I’ve been wanting to try out for a long time, ever since I saw someone wear a black kurta with a dupatta on a blog. I have a black dupatta with spirals and dull gold sequins, and I thought it would go well for this outfit. And then I went one step further and made spirals/circles the theme, and found a bag to match!!

I wore this when I went home last weekend to celebrate my sister’s birthday. I offered to bake her birthday cake. I was a bit worried whether she’d like it, but she seemed delighted!! Wanna see it?? Not just yet, I’ll put it up in another post J.

Now, back to my spiral outfit.

This canvas bag was actually plain red, and I went and DIY-ed some black and white spirals on it with fabric paint J.

Love the little sequins at the end of the dupatta, they make a very low, very sweet jingling sound.

Used dull gold jewelry to match the sequins.

This headband is the first ever animal print item I’ve bought. I’ve never tried the trend before, so decided to go with baby steps J.

And last but not least, this is the first outfit post after my haircut. Here, it is, after being put in place with a flat iron.

It was initially till mid back, but now much shorter. Somehow I always feel that shorter hair suits me better. (Truth: Shorter hair is easier to handle -> less time to blow dry -> less time to iron)

Oh, by the way guys, I’m now on Pinterest!! Finally!!! Check out my boards here.

I don’t think I can wear these jeans much longer now, considering how hot it’s getting. Once my shopping ban is over, I’ve got to do some updating to my summer wardrobe. Here’s my list: (subject to change any time J)

1. Short sleeved cotton kurtas
2. Cotton/Linen Pants
3. Some big hair clips to keep my hair away from my neck
4. Some facial mist

What about you guys, have you got a summer shopping list?? Do tell!

    1. My pretty face, hmmm - but what if it turns away my readers? :-D I'm also thinking of getting a pair of animal print ballet flats. Saw some Carlton London ones on Flipkart. I keep staring at them everyday, might just go and get them :-)
